VeloPilot for Android is distributed through our own F-Droid repository. F-Droid is an app store for free and open source software; once the repository is added, you’ll receive VeloPilot updates automatically.

Other platforms
VeloPilot is currently available for Android only. There’s no iOS version and no Google Play release, simply because we don’t need them ourselves: VeloPilot started as the app its maker wanted on his own Android phone, and F-Droid covers that.
Building and maintaining an iPhone version or a Play Store listing takes resources we don’t have for a project nobody earns money from: an Apple developer account, a Mac and an iPhone to build and test on, a Google Play developer account, and the time to keep it all up to date. If people donate those resources, we’d gladly make it happen.
Installing without F-Droid
If you really can’t use F-Droid, you can download the APK file and install it by hand. We don’t recommend it:
- No automatic updates. You have to come back here for every new version, and until you do you’re riding with known bugs and outdated routing fixes.
- Unknown sources. Android will ask you to allow installing apps from your browser or file manager.
Use F-Droid if you can.
